Patrol Competitions - February 2012 (59)
The little shared secret is that the adult patrol DOMINATED the Ultimate portion of the weekend. Outside of that there was a showdown on various skills throughout the weekend and everyone mostly survived the frigid (for NC) weather. -
Ski Trip - Winterplace - January 2012 (42)
To be honest, we played dodgeball almost as much as we skied. So Scouts are dubbing it the dodgeball trip with some skiing involved. The Bluefield church is now a Troop 845 classic with great meals, cold haunting nights, and of course dodgeball. The snow a Winterplace was also surprisingly good and so we packed in a full day on the slopes -
Capture the Flag - December 2011 (32)
A Troop 845 classic for longer than anyone can remember. Epic Capture the Flag. Combine 40+ Scouts, a few hundred acres of woods, lots of camo, and freezing temperatures and you get a weekend that goes down as a perennial classic year after year. -
McAfee's Knob - Appalachian Trail - November 2011 (97)
Yet another most excellent adventure on the Appalachian Trail for Troop 845. By heading out in early November we were risking some cold or snowy weather, but we lucked out with some incredible weather as we traversed 14 miles of trail across McAfee's Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and the ridges of central Virginia. -
Warrior Creek Mountain Biking - October 2011 (47)
Perhaps one of the most epic weekend trips we've ever been on. Many Scouts claimed it to be the best weekend of their entire lives. We spent two days shredding up to 25 miles of incredibly groomed single track at Warrior Creek and Over Mountain Victory near Wilkesboro, NC. -
Pamlico Sea Base - September 2011 (86)
A sailing and climbing trip to the Pamlico Sea Base in eastern North Carolina.
