Camino Shakedown - May 2011 (57)
A shakedown hike on the Appalachian Trail at Roan Mountain. This was a warm up and shakedown for our hike in Spain on the 500 mile long Camino De Santiago that we leave for in two weeks. It went well, people are ready, and in pretty good shape we think. -
Whitewater Rafting - May 2011 (66)
A weekend of white water rafting on the French Broad in Hot Springs, NC, a hike on the AT up to Lovers Leap, and of course an Ultimate tourney in there as well. Overall an epic weekend. -
Camp Bowers COPE - March 2011 (131)
A weekend at Camp Bowers on the COPE course. Some great weather let us pack in the low COPE, high COPE, climbing tower, and the rappel tower all into a couple action packed days. -
Lost World Caves - February 2011 (84)
A caving trip to Lost World in West Virginia where there is most certainly not a shortage of mud. February 2011 -
Capture The Flag - December 2010 (42)
Our annual and epic Capture the Flag event. We added some snow this year to spice up the course a bit. Needless to say a monster 20 on 20 snowball fight broke out halfway through the CTF rounds. -
Cold Mountain Backpacking - Nov 2010 (100)
A backpacking trip in the Shining Rock Wilderness to the summit of Cold Mountain. I don't think the photos accurately portray how cold it really was out there. -
Rock Climbing - Pilot Mountain - Oct 2010 (68)
A rock climbing and rappelling extravaganza at Pilot Mountain. Content warning for parents: this album may contain photos of your 11-year-old rappelling into an amphitheater from above the tops of tall trees. -
Sailing at Boddie - Sept 2010 (73)
A weekend of sailing at Camp Boddie on the Pamlico Sound. -
Summer Camp 2010 (47)
Troop 845 at Camp Durant and Camp Powhatan -
Appalachian Trail - June 2010 (37)
A 35 mile backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail to Hot Springs NC in June of 2010 -
Alternate Epic Backpacking Trip - Summer 2010 (54)
When you're in a troop that done the longest backpacking trip in the history of the BSA the epic trip standards are pretty high. It's a good idea to start building your skills early, so in your first few months in the troop you hit a multi-day trek in Uwharrie Forest, then before you know it you're gearing up for a 450 mile five week trek. -
Philmont - Summer 2010 (62)
Scout Crew out hiking the ever classic Philmont Ranch
