Guest Book
Hi brother Scouts.
A friend passed your info on to me. She has done the Camino a number of times and knows of my interest in scouting.
I live in South Africa and have been involved in the scout movement for many years - I was part of the "International Scout Programme" at "Little Lemhi" in Idaho during the summer of 1992. My son is a scout at 1st Hillcrest Troop (near Durban) and will be attending the World Jamboree later this year in Sweden.
I start walking my Camino on the 27th April. Unfortunately I do not have the time so I'll be walking about 540km. I'm looking forward to it as I'm sure you are.

Hey Troop 845-
You guys rock! We're a fairly young Troop (less than 10 yrs), and are on our way toward the Triple Crown for the first time: Northern Tier- done (108 miles / 47 portages), Philmont- next summer, Sea Base 2013. You inspire us, and I plan to use you as a foil next time a parent accuses me of dreaming "too big!" El Camino de Santiago?! Cross-country biking, twice?! Guatemala H-4-H, JMT, Triple Crown?! Awesome. I've found a new hero- Troop 845. Building leadership and character in young men through outdoor adventure is what Scouting is about. Keep up the good work-- it inspires others to do the same.
