Cycle 2010 Tour - Summer 2010

Cycle 20Ten team riding into Glacier NationalHow many times can one troop bike across the US.  We keep asking that too, but the Scouts keep demanding it and the guys that have recently joined always refer to 'their bike trip in three years' so it seems like the cycling adventures will continue for the time being.

Last summer on June 14th,  T845 Scouts set out on what many claim was not only the ultimate Scouting adventure of all time but possibly the best summer in the history of all summers.  Early in the morning the Cycle20Ten riders dipped their tires in the waters of the Atlantic in Havre de Grace Maryland and spent the next 10 weeks doing an unsupported bike ride across the northern part of the United States.

Along the way they camped in town parks, fire stations, and at city pools as they rode through mountains, corn fields, along the Mississippi, and wide open plains.  After 3700 miles, countless flat tires, and an untellable number of stories, the Cycle20Ten rolled into the Pacific Ocean at Anacortes, Washington and thus completed the longest trip in the history of the Boy Scouts of America.  To find out more about the ride or to view alot of photos, check out our site at www.Cycle20Ten.com.
